Ever since I could remember I enjoyed the photos of everyday, childhood life.

I always let my eyes follow the turning of the pages, anticipating the next photo in the childhood stories my parents used to read.

To me, photographs are a portal into a new existence.

With photography I can store memories forever that may have been lost in the hustle and bustle of this new age that we live in.

I still enjoy film photography the most, but with the advent of the digital world, I feel I am in an exciting time of the earth’s history and must exploit this new form of picture taking.

But how did I get into each form of photography?

Portraiture

Every time I would go on trips with my parents or through school I always appreciated the many stories that were told in every wrinkle, every slight smile and every texture of each new persons face.

Many times I came home from trips with school (mainly 8th grade Washington D.C. trip) my parents would

highly anticipate the pictures from the various places that I got to see through school. Those anticipations of the rolling hills of Amish Country and the stone structures of the city of D.C. would often come crashing down as we rifled through the various contrivances in which I would photograph my friend’s faces. Although these were very silly photos of my friends sleeping or picking their noses I still had an innate attraction to capturing an emotion or a thought. Many people believe that visualizing a thought is impossible.

I disagree.

Through the emotions of a human face we can often answer the age-old question...

What does a thought look like?

Landscape/Wildlife

Having been blessed with a family of nomads, I have had the privilege of traveling to many areas of the world such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and parts of Europe. I have traveled all over this great Nation and enjoy travelling through the beautiful regions and national/state parks of Yosemite, Yellowstone, Redwood National Park, City of Rocks, Zion, Bryce Canyon and many others. I have earned a B.S. through Humboldt State University in Wildlife Conservation and a Minor in Botany. Through studying various animals such as Pacific Tree Frogs, Black Bears, Canada Geese, and Surf Scoters and many others I have found a major love in photographing all that is wild.
